Chelation (pronounced key-LAY-shun) is a term derived from the Greek chele, meaning, A chelation agent is a chemical agent that, like a claw, grabs and chemically bonds with metals or other minerals and toxins. Simply put, chelation is the process in which chemicals bind with minerals. While chelation is a naturally occurring biological process (hemoglobin binds with iron to provide oxygen to tissues), synthesized chelation agents were first developed during World War II as a way to clear toxic metals from the body. Chemists discovered they could create a ring of molecules, which surround or mineral molecules and carry them from the body through normal elimination.
Chemicals such as dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA), dimercaptopropane sulfonate (DMPS), or ethylene diaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) are called chelates. They are specific compounds that can locate and form an attachment to toxins and metals in the body. Chelation is usually administered intravenously. It is a well-known way to rid the body of heavy metals and poisons. Unfortunately, when the chelate removes the toxin from the cell and carries it off, it does not neutralize the toxin and there is the possibility that the toxin is able to bind onto other cells on its way out.
A very effective chelate is EDTA (Ethylene Diamine Tetra-Acetic Acid), which is a synthetic amino acid. It is used for chelating heavy metals. It is believed to be non-toxic and has almost no side effects. Fifty years ago EDTA was first discovered and used for chelating lead from the body and now it is FDA-approved to be used in therapy for handling poisoning by lead, mercury, aluminum and cadmium. It also assists in eliminating calcium and arterial plaque which stops up blood vessels. However, it must be administered with supplements of vitamins and minerals, because it may also chelate much needed minerals and other substances from the body.
Chelation is the sole treatment used today for lead poisoning. But since the process removes other metals, too, in addition to mineral deposits, calcium-based plaques and other poisons, it benefits other medical conditions. Atherosclerosis (narrowing of the arteries by plaque deposits) and arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) and diabetes can be treated with chelation, as it has a very positive effect on the bloodstream.
EDTA Chelation Therapy, by Cranton, is a textbook of clinical studies of chelation. Obviously the difficulties of doing double-blind studies to prove or disprove the clinical results of bypass surgery and balloon angioplasty are insurmountable, but the studies in this book show that EDTA chelation treatment obtains better results than either of those drastic measures.
A person undergoing chelation therapy has to also change the diet. Non-prescription supplements are recommended, as well as deleting refined and synthetic foods. Certainly it lets down the big drug companies, who would prefer to profit from expensive prescription drugs. Additionally, chelation has no need for surgeons, hospitals, cardiologists and the ever-increasing group of health care workers who make a great deal of money ($6 billion per year) from by pass surgery and balloon angioplasty, because chelation can be performed in a doctors office. More people have received chelation than have ever had the above-mentioned procedures.
The most frequent criticism leveled by critics of non-traditional and alternative medical therapies is that new treatments are because randomized, double-blind, controlled studies have not yet been done to prove effectiveness. Those criticisms ignore the fact that most medical procedures routinely performed in the practice of medicine are also unproven using those same criteria.
In fact, the United States has the most advanced high technology hospital and surgical care in its history, yet 800,000 people die each year from arteriosclerosis and complications thereof. It is absurd to deny patients the option of undergoing EDTA chelation as a less expensive and at least just as effective alternative to surgery and angioplasty. The reduction in cost would be a great savings to medical insurance companies and hopefully result in lowered insurance premiums.
How about the improvement in quality of life?
Chelation patients have a tremendous increase in their expected life, although the chelation doctors are reluctant to admit it. It turns out that intravenous chelation therapy greatly reduces the risk of cancer as well as further heart disease. The chelation treatment deals with basic sources of all illness the tiny particles of metal, which accumulate over time and which greatly, increase the production of free radicals in the body. As the interior source of free radical production is reduced, by more than one million times, the acceleration of aging stops and people generally feel much younger.
Billions of free radicals that might have been produced in the body are thwarted by intravenous chelation therapy. Once heavy toxic metals, which create the free radicals, are removed by chelation, production stops.
At once no more poisonous free radicals are being created in the body.
The two major killing diseases in this day and age - heart disease and cancer - can be reversed and prevented.
It is amazing what chelation can do in reversing damage already done by free radicals. The benefit is great.
This informative article is not intended to provide medical counsel for individuals, but is for education of the reader. Qualified health practitioners dispense medical advice.

Similar posts: natural lasix

This week I met with two patients who reported having large transplant sessions, both with extremely disappointing tales I want to share.
Patient 1: The first patient reported two surgical sessions totaling 4800 grafts both done in Los Angeles. He had a very low hair density and a moderately tight scalp based upon what I measured, so I doubted that he had that many grafts transplanted. He also felt that the doctor did not give him the number of grafts that he paid for. Is it a case of a doctor ripping off a patient? Could be, but unfortunately I cant say with 100% certainty. Im fairly sure, based upon my counting of the grafts
Patient 2: The second patient was just 1 week out of surgery and so the grafts were all clearly evident. I counted them and estimated that there were less than 1000 present, yet the doctor said there were 3000 grafts (about 2000 that were purchased and another 1000 that were above the number sold on the morning of the surgery). In this case, Im much more certain about the patient being ripped off, because I could count the results relatively soon after the surgery.

My complaint:
I am seeing more and more cases where the hair transplant doctors are not delivering upon the contracted graft numbers. These doctors are an embarrassment to the medical profession. What they are doing is not only immoral, but illegal (fraud is a criminal problem), and if the patients take the appropriate action, the state medical board should be notified and the doctors prosecuted. Hopefully these doctors will lose their medical licenses if they are swindling patients. It seems that many patients are shopping for the best price (which is reasonable), but that assumes that what they are buying is really what the doctor can deliver. When fraud comes into play, the patient becomes a victim. With these scams, prices may be quoted as low as $1-2/graft, but when the accounting is in, the actual prices may be many times based upon what the patient actually received. Keep that in mind when youre looking at the doctor with the bargain bin pricing. I still dont understand why anyone would have cosmetic surgery based solely upon the cheapest price. Would you travel to Tijuana for dental work because its cheaper?
Avoid the scam:
How do you tell if your doctor is giving you what you purchased? First, get to understand the scam. Second, learn about graft auditing and how it is done. Third, ask the doctor to allow you to have a friend or family member at the surgery to audit his graft counting process. This is an accounting issue and your observer needs to be educated on what to look for. For all of you wanting to understand the process better, come visit us on an Open House day when we allow visitors in the surgery theater. The auditing process we employ should be similar to the one that the doctor you may be considering. It is not unusual for some of our patients to bring in family members to observe the surgery. Although none have asked for auditing rights, we generally show off our auditing process while we educate the visitors.

Similar posts: propecia and hairloss

Let me speak to that for a minute.
Political operatives descended on Alaska last August, digging for dirt. The ethics law I championed became their weapon of choice. Over the past nine months Ive been accused of all sorts of frivolous ethics violations – such as holding a fish in a photograph, wearing a jacket with a logo on it, and answering reporters’ questions.
Every one – all 15 of the ethics complaints have been dismissed. We’ve won! But it hasnt been cheap the State has wasted thousands of hours of your time and shelled out some two million of your dollars to respond to “opposition research” – that’s money not going to fund teachers or troopers – or safer roads. And this political absurdity, the “politics of personal destruction” … Todd and I are looking at more than half a million dollars in legal bills in order to set the record straight. And what about the people who offer up these silly accusations? It doesn’t cost them a dime so they’re not going to stop draining public resources – spending other peoples’ money in their game.
It’s pretty insane – my staff and I spend most of our day dealing with this instead of progressing our state now. I know I promised no more “politics as usual,” but this isn’t what anyone had in mind for Alaska.
If I have learned one thing: life is about choices!
And one chooses how to react to circumstances. You can choose to engage in things that tear down, or build up. I choose to work very hard on a path for fruitfulness and productivity. I choose not to tear down and waste precious time; but to build up this state and our country, and her industrious, generous, patriotic, free people!
Life is too short to compromise time and resources… it may be tempting and more comfortable to just keep your head down, plod along, and appease those who demand: “Sit down and shut up”, but that’s the worthless, easy path; that’s a quitter’s way out. And a problem in our country today is apathy. It would be apathetic to just hunker down and “go with the flow”.
Nah, only dead fish “go with the flow”.
No. Productive, fulfilled people determine where to put their efforts, choosing to wisely utilize precious time… to BUILD UP.
And there is such a need to BUILD up and FIGHT for our state and our country. I choose to FIGHT for it! And I’ll work hard for others who still believe in free enterprise and smaller government; strong national security for our country and support for our troops; energy independence; and for those who will protect freedom and equality and LIFE… I’ll work for and campaign for those PROUD to be American, and those who are INSPIRED by our ideals and won’t deride them.
I WILL support others who seek to serve, in or out of office, for the RIGHT reasons, and I don’t care what party they’re in or no party at all. Inside Alaska – or Outside Alaska.
But I won’t do it from the Governor’s desk.

Similar posts: health care solutions

Is your Au Pair Experiencing Culture Shock or Depression?
Culture Shock is a phenomenon that occurs when a foreigner enters a new culture and experiences unpleasant adjustment symptoms that can range from problems sleeping, mental fatigue, a delay or refusal to speak the new culture’s language, a desire to return home and feelings of hopelessness. Au pairs experience culture shock in varying degrees when they arrive. Most of them adjust quickly and are excited to meet the challenges of her new culture and all that is has to offer. A significant number of au pairs never adjust and they usually return home soon after their arrival due to a number of reasons.
Recognizing cultural shock and the symptoms will help reduce the problems that may arise between your au pair and your family. If you understand how difficult it is for these young girls to adjust to a new country and a strange and different culture, you can be proactive in minimizing the disruption it can have on your family and for your au pair. Be patient and give her the time to adjust. Talk to her about culture shock – bring it out in the open for discussion. Ask your counselor what she plans to do for your au pair in getting her connected to other au pairs in the area, thus creating a social network and support group that greatly assists with difficulty assimilating to American culture. In a few weeks, your au pair should be adjusting well within normal parameters.

However, many au pairs have significant difficulties adjusting to their new surroundings and may react with frustration, confusion and intense homesickness. These difficulties may present as minor physical complaints: stomach aches, headaches, minor colds and eating problems (either overeating as a way to comfort themselves or a lack of appetite and refusal to eat new and different foods). Other symptoms include anxiety and feelings of disorientation, uncertainty and intense loneliness, which can often lead to depression. These sypmtoms can often be combined with an intense dislike with certain aspects of the new culture. Your au pair may complain to others about your family, her room, the food, your the children and about the United States in general. She may call her parents multiple times a day to complain and feel them out about coming home. Culture shock normally occurs several weeks after the au pair arrives, but it may develop in the first week, when the initial excitement wears off and she realizes she will have to deal with a new environment for a long time.

You have a problem if your au pair finds it impossible to accept her new culture. She may isolate herself from you, the entire family, her counselor and other au pairs. She may refuse to sign up for school and announce she plans to stay in her room for the entire year during her free time. Au pairs that reject their new culture may start to feel the only way out is to return home. People who have extreme difficulty adjusting to cultural shock are called Rejectors – a person who never integrates into the new environment and once home, they often have reverse culture shock, where they have difficult readjusting to familiar surroundings. Approximately 60% of all expatriates evidence these behaviors.

Difficulties in assimilating can be disruptive and troubling for both you and your au pair. You may feel surprised that your bubbly and gregarious au pair is now hostile, silent and refuses to come to the dinner table. You may find she is hoarding food in her room and she is experiencing sudden weight changes or becomes lethargic. If your au pair continues to show signs of extreme cultural shock, you need to call your agency and the local counselor. Many times inexperienced counselors or managers will tell you to wait, that these symptoms are normal and that in a month or two everything should be just fine. Waiting for 2-3 months for your unhappy, and possibly depressed, au pair to recover may be a recipe for disaster.

How do you know when the culture shock your au pair is experiencing is serious enough for a professional intervention? First, look for signs of depression accompanied by feelings of hopelessness – when these two elements are presented together your au pair may need professional help. Studies have shown that when feelings of depression are accompanied by feelings of hopelessness the incidence of suicidal thinking increases.

If her biological parents are telling her she has to stay and finish out the program, and you and the counselor are telling her the same thing, and there is no relief of her symptoms, she very well may develop a depressive disorder. Some of the symptoms of depression are: a lack of interest in things that once were pleasurable; sleep problems; unusual eating patterns; sadness, crying, physical and mental fatigue and the inability to concentrate and function normally at work or in social situations. If you recognize these symptoms in your au pair you should call your agency at once for assistance.

Note: if your au pair agency takes a “wait and see” attitude but you feel your au pair’s ability to function is undermined by the symptoms of culture shock that may have worsened into a depression, do not hesitate to call and discuss your au pair’s adjustment difficulties with your physician. If the agency and/or counselor will not do anything, bring your au pair to the doctor yourself. Au pairs have medical insurance and this visit should be covered. It is important to get your au pair help if you think she is suffering from depression and not just cultural shock but the only person who can make an accurate diagnosis is a medical doctor or a psychiatrist. Don’t try to play therapist, instead, have her evaluated for your peace of mind and for the safety of your children and for the au pair herself. She may be unable to express her feelings and she may need help and not be able to ask for it. She is in your care, so make sure you treat her the way you would your own daughter.

Similar posts: anxiety panic attack

The recognition of the Mediterranean Diet began with a rather simple equation: the individuals of Greece and Southern Italy tended to eat a diet rich in fat, yet had less cardiovascular disease than people in the U.S. How could this be? The answer seems to lie in the Mediterraneans reliance on the monosaturated fat known as olive oil. Olive oil forms the basis of Mediterranean cookingit is the crucial component in preparing everything from pasta to steak. Olive oil is also considered an antioxidant, so it can be effective in the struggle against cancer.
Though, following the Mediterranean Diet can be a challenge. While 40 percent of ones total calories are derived from fat, dieters can only eat small portions of red meat. Even fish and poultry are de-emphasized, as are milk and milk products. But, unlike other diets, the Mediterranean Diet allows you to eat a fair amount of bread and potatoes, and you can eat eggs as often as every other day. You can even drink wine in moderate amounts.
It should be pointed out that the Mediterranean Diet offers little in the way of saturated fat or trans fat. This means that dieters have to stay away from particular oils and margarine, peanut butter, cakes and cookies. Dieters are also encouraged to limit the total amount of fat they eat every day.
A study conducted in France showed that people who had had at least one heart attack who planned their meals according to a Mediterranean diet were less likely to suffer from subsequent heart attacks than those who followed a typical diet suggested by the American Heart Association. Another study conducted last year indicated that those who used the Mediterranean diet, exercised, and abstained from smoking were less probable to die than those who followed a traditional diet.
But, not all the foods found in a typical Mediterranean Diet are considered healthy choices. For example, cheese-rich lasagna and ravioli can be roadblocks to weight loss. Besides, tiramisu and canolli can also cause an person to pack on the pounds.
Numerous dieticians suggest taking the top elements of the Mediterranean Diet and incorporating them into your way of life in order to attain good health and weight loss. This means emphasizing vegetables in your diet, along with whole grains and nuts. You might be amazed to discover that the average Mediterranean consumes red meat less than twice a week. If youre following the Mediterranean course, you should also forbid the butter and sugary snacks and choose fruit when selecting a dessert.
But there are also other parts of the Mediterranean lifestyle which should be considered when you are attempting to lose weight. Mediterraneans tend to walk and bike much, which contributes to their calorie-burning. Additionally, meals tend to be a easy affair. Thus, the body has time for good digestion.

Similar posts: anxiety panic attack

Prostate surgery is used to cure prostate cancer, but prostate surgery is unnecessary if the disease is detected and cured in the early stages. All surgery can be risky, and prostate surgery is no exception. All men over fifty are at risk for prostate cancer, and those men who are conscientious about regular doctor visits can usually avoid prostate surgery. Medical researchers have made wonderful strides to detect and treat prostate cancer in recent years. Although many men died of prostate cancer years ago, death from prostate cancer can be avoided more frequently because of the medical developments in recent years.
Most men find out about the presence of prostate problems through diagnostic testing. Medical researchers have found several treatments that can cure prostate cancer in the early stages. Each man will have to choose an appropriate treatment with their doctor. Once a problem with the prostate is detected the treatment is usually effective.

Similar posts: prostate medications

As bird in the sky said, there's always going to be sick people. Even if one disease is cured, and some of the pharmaceutical company's products go obsolete, there's always another disease to work on. In the meantime, whichever company releases the cure for the disease gets to reap the enormous profits and prestige of that cure. I don't think any company would turn away the opportunity to sell 6.5 billion doses of a drug just because it would hurt sales of their cough medicine in the long run.The marketing value of the cure alone would make it worth releasing. If you are looking for a drug to treat your sniffles, which company are you going to prefer, the one that also released the cure for AIDS, or their competitor that wasn't able to find that cure? Even if all the major diseases were cured, there would be a huge market opened for all manner of pharmaceuticals aimed at alleviating the myriad ailments that accompany old age. With the major diseases gone, everyone will live to be a hundred years or more - each of them taking arthritis medicine, vitamins, metabolic supplements, Viagara, osteoporosis counter-measures, maybe even memory enhancers, mood alterants and ocular nerve maitenance medications every day.A steady source of elderly people 'addicted' to the higher quality of life possible through pharmacy would be an incredible boon to the industry, and would far outweigh any benefits gained from withholding cures to maintain prophylactic sales now.So no, I don't think the major companies are sitting on the cures to keep people sick so they can make money off them. There's more money to be made keeping them alive to old age, and then getting steady money off them.

Similar posts: wellbutrin medication
...The worst is Wadi Gaza, where a steady flow of raw sewage blackens the sea for kilometres. The currents in the eastern Mediterranean move northwards, bringing sand from the Nile delta and sewage traces from Gaza to the beaches of Israel.

Gaza's sewage problem is just one of several environmental issues which affect both Palestinians and Israelis. Friday 5 June was World Environment Day, and it is appropriate to take a moment to survey the environmental damage around us and ask what can be done to prevent it.

The river Jordan, which once nourished the Jordan valley and some of the world's oldest towns is a salty and polluted trickle. Before it was dammed, the river's flow was 20 times greater. Downstream, the Dead Sea recedes by a metre every year. In 20 years, it has lost a third of its surface area. One of the major sources of water flowing into the Dead Sea is the Kidron river or Wadi Nara, which brings raw sewage from Jerusalem and Bethlehem.

Some Israeli beaches are regularly closed by environmental officials, mainly because of deficiencies in Israel's sewage network. However, one cannot discount the human waste which travels from the West Bank via rivers such as the Soreq, Lakhish, Hadera and Alexander. According to Israel's Ministry of Environment, 58 million cubic metres of untreated sewage is dumped in the West Bank by Palestinians and settlers each year. This goes into the ground, where it pollutes aquifers, and into streams which ultimately reach the sea.

The effect of global climate change on the Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory is not yet clear. The region has suffered five years of drought and some forecasters estimate that temperatures will rise and rainfall will decrease. It will become much harder to make the desert bloom in such conditions.

Environmental issues affect everyone, yet here they are an unnecessary hostage of the conflict. It would take a small mental shift to remove environmental issues from the "pending peace process" tray and upgrade them to urgent. These problems will not go away or wait until the resumption of serious peace talks.

There are environmentalists on both sides of the Green Line who are committed to solving these problems but are frustrated by their colleagues in government who see environmental issues as minor in the grand scheme of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Expensive plans to avert disaster are being investigated and implemented. Israel is building a further three desalination plants in addition to the two it already has. A feasibility study is underway into transporting water from the Red Sea into the Dead Sea, via pumps, desalination plants and electricity-generating turbines. Both schemes rely on using huge amounts of energy to achieve their aims, which may affect global warming.

But it is the simple solutions that appear to be the most difficult, such as supplying water to communities and providing basic sewage treatment. In 1995 the Joint Water Committee was set up to manage water resources in the occupied Palestinian territory as part of the Oslo accords. It was an interim committee which was meant to operate by consensus. Fourteen years later, the committee does not seem temporary and consensus appears to have broken down. As a result, water networks and sewage treatment plants in the West Bank have not been built.

The World Bank states that Palestinians use one sixth the amount of water that Israelis use per capita. Scarcity forces some Palestinians to monopolise the small amounts available and others to drill unlicensed wells, putting further pressure on the aquifer.

Sewage pumped into the sea is an indefensible waste of water. If treated, it could be used to recharge the aquifers and prevent their destruction. The underground water from Gaza comes from the coastal aquifer which stretches along the Mediterranean. Much of it has been contaminated by sea water intrusion, a problem likely to deteriorate.

Just as environmental damage ultimately affects everyone, the solution is similarly universal. The theme of World Environment Day is "Your planet needs you". Individuals must save water and energy and governments must reach agreements whether at the international climate change conference in Copenhagen in December or at the local level.

Similar posts: environmental health

    <lj:music>Heartbreak Hotel</lj:music>

So I'm back on the 6 week makeover plan. I followed it 4 years ago when graduating college and starting my first cubicle job led to a 25 lb weight gain. I like it because its small meals throughout the day so I'm always eating, just smaller portions. I also like that since the meals are all measured, it encourages you to prep the majority of your meals one day a week which makes it so easy - you just grab your food for the day and you're on your way. We usually cook dinner each night, but breakfast and lunch are prepped a head of time.

I'm Body Type B - As a Body Type B, your body builds and maintains lean muscle easily, which is good because muscle burns fat. Unfortunately, your metabolism is significantly slower than many of the other body types and that causes you to gain weight. The rate of your metabolism is the primary consideration in how your body gains or loses weight. The good news is: As a Type B, since you have plenty of muscle tissue to help you burn fat fast, once you use your custom eating plan to speed up your overall metabolic rate, you should see results extremely fast and have little trouble keeping the weight off after the program is done.

So for example - I eat some fruit (like 1/4 of a canteloupe or 1/2 C of strawberries, peach or berries) and 3 egg yolks for breakfast at 6am. Then at 9:30 I eat the same thing again. At lunch I have about 3 oz of grilled chicken breast, 1/2 C of carbs (sweet potato, gnocchi, quinoa or rice) and 1-2 cups of veggies (usually a salad). At 2:30 I each more chicken and carbs, then at dinner I each meat (fish, chicken or beef), carb and a big salad. Then for dessert I can have fruit again.

I refer to this as a very simple way of eating. Not because follwing the plan is 'simple' but because the foods are so simplistic - no prepackaged food, no sweets, no dairy. Just grilled lean protein, complex carbs (no bread) and fruits and veggies. And lots of water.

They tell you to aim for 100 oz a day. I've managed 75 the first two days and am off to a horrible start today, but like I said, I'm tired and I need coffee. And I cannot drink coffee black so I added a splash of creamer. I am not perfect on plan, but my goal isn't to stick to the program perfectly, it's to lose weight, and in order to do that, I need to stick to this for awhile and I know I'll quit if I deny myself everything and go on plan cold turkey.

We'll see how it works...

If anyone is interested in the program, feel free to complete the free blueprint here. Tell me what your result is and I'll help you with your meal plan.

Similar posts: clomid and provera

Dont mind me im sick, tired in my pjs lol. but hey why not make a video when your most vulnerable right?!? Sorry for being kind of all over the place didnt know really what to talk about or how to say it and what to say lol. My mind wanders alot.
Here are some ideas for a healthier diet.
Cut out caffeine. Caffeine belongs to a class of chemicals called methylxanthines, which have a drug like stimulant effect on the body. Too many fizzy drinks, coffee, tea or chocolate can overwhelm your nervous system and take you from heightened alertness over the edge into nervousness and, in rare cases, bring on panic attacks. Even if you think you cant survive without your caffeine fix, try eliminating it for a day and see how you feel. As a central nervous system stimulant, caffeine increases brain activity when taken in doses of 50 to 100 mg or more per day. This is the amount found in one cup of coffee or black tea. When used on an occasional basis, a cup of coffee can have a pleasantly stimulating effect. For women with anxiety and panic episodes due to emotional triggers, caffeine can aggravate the frequency and severity of their episodes. Caffeine taken in excess (more than four or five cups per day) can dramatically increase anxiety, irritability, and mood swings. Even small amounts can make susceptible women jittery. After the initial jolt, women with anxiety symptoms find that caffeine intake makes them more tired.
Drink less alcohol. Many women reach for a drink to calm their nerves, but the consequences of overindulgence can outweigh the benefits of initial relaxation. For some, a hangover, insomnia and dehydration make you feel worse than before you had a drink, and the depressants in alcohol can make you feel sluggish and anxious. Reach for a glass of water or all natural fruit juice when you need a soothing drink, or limit your alcohol to a couple of glasses. Women with moderate to severe anxiety, mood swings, and depression due to PMS, menopause, or emotional causes, should avoid alcohol entirely or limit its use to occasional small amounts. Alcohol, like a simple sugar, is rapidly absorbed by the body. Like other sugars, alcohol increases hypoglycemia symptoms; excessive use can increase anxiety and mood swings.
Eat complex carbohydrates. During anxious times, turn to comforting carbs. These foods act as a mild tranquiliser by increasing the amount of serotonin, a calming neurotransmitter, in your brain. Complex carbs, such as potatoes, wholewheat bread and pasta, take longer to digest than sugary simple carbs like white bread, so you stay fuller longer and your blood sugar is likely to stay steady, eliminating stress and anxiety. Eat carbs without fat or protein to feel instant contentment, but note that a balanced diet needs protein and fat as well. Excess sugar can worsen the anxiety, irritability, and nervous tension.
Take a multivitamin and mineral supplement. An unbalanced diet can make you feel fatigued, achy and unproductive, which can lead to feelings of anxiety. B vitamins, whose role it is to unlock the energy in food, are crucial, particularly B-6, which helps manufacture serotonin in the brain. Choose a daily supplement that supplies 100 per cent of the daily recommendation of all vitamins and minerals.
Stay well-hydrated. Be sure to drink eight glasses of water a day and always drink more than you think you need. By the time you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated. Dehydration can lead to fatigue, headaches and stress.
Rather than fighting to control anxietywhich generally causes more anxietyit is much better, at first, to learn to control the way you respond to the emotional symptoms.

Similar posts: social anxiety

More than half the worlds population will develop hemroids mainly after the age of 30. Pregnant women due to the pressure exerted have a predisposition to develop them. Hemroids are a very common condition. It has been estimated that approximately half of all Americans will have hemroids by the age of 50. Cryotherapy provides the necessary relief to alleviate further severity. This cold treatment for hemroids is today's best alternative to prevent the symptoms, without any side effects, caused by hemroids; such as pain, itching, and the discomfort that the swelling of the hemroidal veins will cause. Hemroids can be removed surgically while the patient is sedated and pain-free (local or spinal anesthesia) or deep asleep and pain-free (general anesthesia). Sclerotherapy-A chemical solution is injected around the blood vessel to shrink the hemroid. Hemroidectomy-Occasionally, extensive or severe internal or external hemroids may require removal by surgery known as hemroidectomy.

Hemroids are caused from an increase in venous pressure by straining to have a bowel movement and cause itching, pain, and sometimes bleeding. Rutin will shrink hemorroids and eliminate inflamation. Take rutin daily to keep hemorroid inflamation at a reduced level. Avoid rubbing with toilet paper. This aggravates the hemroids. Wash your rear with water and gently wipe with toilet paper after you are done. Mix 1 tablespoon of Vaseline with 1 teaspoon of Flowers of Sulfur and smear on the hemroids 2-3 times a day. Take 2 garlic cloves and put them in about two cups of water. Mango seeds are an effective remedy for bleeding piles. The seeds should be collected during the mango season, dried in the shade, powdered, and kept stored for use as medicine. This powder should be given in doses of about one and a half to two grams with or without honey, twice daily. A rubber band ligation, for example, involves cutting off the circulation of the hemroid by placing a rubber band around its base.

Similar posts: bleeding hemorrhoids medicine

There are twelve salts that can correct imbalances at the cellular level and successfully maintain wellness.
When these vital tissue salts are in the correct concentration, the body is healthy. I have also used it in a little bit of warm water for my baby and for my three year old son, (who both find it difficult to sleep right through), and find that they sleep soundly. It is truly wonderful to find a product which helps so much! Lindi B.
Thanks to your Triple Complex Sleep Tonic, my nights of lying awake are over! So you can imagine how glad I was to find something that works so well and which also does not interact with my other remedies! Sheila
This is an amazing product. I gave this to my little baby boy when he was 3 months because he keep waking up every 3-4 hours during the night. He would wake up even when he wasnt hungry and wanted to play at 3 in the morning. A few days we gave him Sleep Tonic, he began to sleep long stretches of time during the night and now at 4 months he sleeps from 9 pm to 6 am, which is excellent.
Of course you want to stop smoking. You want to quit smoking more than anything else, and you should! But, you just dont know where to turn! If your like most, you may have tried patches, gum, Chantix, Zyban and/or hypnosis only to find yourself right back in the clutches of nicotine addiction! You know that its unhealthy to smoke, but you just cant seem to stop! Unfortunately, smoking cessation programs not only fail to address the root cause of nicotine addiction, but they also fail in excess of ninety percent of the time! But, Im here to tell you that there is a better solution for overcoming your nicotine addiction; one that doesnt include patches, gum, hypnosis, psychoactive drugs or nonsense!
THE PSYCHOACTIVE EFFECTS OF NICOTINE As nicotine enters the body, it is distributed quickly through the blood stream and can cross the blood brain barrier in approximately seven seconds. The life of nicotine in the body is around two hours. The amount of nicotine absorbed by the body from smoking depends on many factors, including the type of tobacco, whether the smoke is inhaled, and whether a filter is used. Nicotines mood-altering effects vary by report. Initially, it causes a release of glucose from the liver and adrenaline from the adrenal gland, which produces a stimulating effect. However, users report feelings of relaxation, sharpness, calmness, and even alertness. When a cigarette is smoked, nicotine-rich blood passes from the lungs to the brain within seven seconds and immediately stimulates the release of many chemical messengers such as epinephrine (adrenaline) and dopamine a neurotransmitter, which results in enhanced pleasure, decreased anxiety, and a state of alert relaxation. However, as the body adapts it requires increased amounts of nicotine to produce the same effect, whereby creating a trap! It is with much interest that we got about to write on prescription drugs for quit smoking.
Pretty much any article written in the corporate media that has to do with the economy is written for the richest among us. If you earn less than a couple hundred Gs per year, youre not in the in crowd. A perfect example can be found in this article titled, Jobless consumers will hold back recovery. The scorn derived from classism of that lede is frustrating in its immorality. It tries to somehow imply that Americans who have lost their jobs are at fault for holding the rest of back the being the upper-class, of course. After all, it certainly wasnt the upper-class who consistently amend economic programs and policies to boost their wealth, often at the expense of the classes below them. Of far more worry is how those jobless consumers will be able to put food on their families tables. These and other real concerns should be reported on but you wont find it on the pages of Americas largest media outlets.
Adding to the irritation, mis-labeled economic derive indices and figures they can watch from the comfort of their lavish perches to determine the state of the economy. It would be uncouth for them to actually go out into the streets where the rest of us live and work and see what the economy really looks like. How did the get this months jobless claims forecast so wrong? We just h witnessed the largest corporation in the history of the world declare bankruptcy. Plant and dealership closures were well covered by the same media that scratches its head over the newest numbers that were worse than the expected. By ensuring their lives were sufficiently displaced from the riff-raff, the and the stenographers following them around like groupies also ensured that they would keep reality far away from their windows.
There are 30 years worth of failed Con-servative economic policies to unravel and this Democratic-controlled Congress and this Democratic President arent exactly knocking those policies on their ends the way they should. This recession depression was easily seen by those who refused to wear rose-tinted glasses. This recovery will take years to play out and even then, without a fundamental shift in economic policy, it will be weaker than most Americans would like to see. The wealthiest among us will be able to recover quicker and more fully even if the fundamentals continue to be weak, theyll exploit every method they can get their hands on, and make up a few new ones when those arent getting it done, in order to continue to grow their wealth at unsustainable levels. The rest of us will continue to hold that recovery back because there arent enough rules in place to help us grow our wealth.
When real wages for the median American increase, a real recovery will begin. When America manufactures more than it imports, a real recovery will begin. The more corporations continue to move operations off-shore, the weaker and more unsustainable the recovery will be. The answers are clear. Its up to non-wealthy Americans to hold those controlling the strings to be held accountable to implement them.

Similar posts: health care solutions
